ICAS
The internationally recognised gold standard in academic competitions
We are excited to celebrate 16 students from grades 3-6 who completed ICAS competitions at Ballarat North Primary School this year.
ICAS is a historic academic competition that has been completed by over 10 million students from 16,000 schools across 41 countries since 1981.
ICAS stands out as an academic competition that recognises performance in a manner similar to sports or the arts.
At assembly today, all students were acknowledged for participating in the ICAS English and Science assessments. The mathematics assessment is complete, but results have not been received yet.
The following students participated in the English ICAS: Arunodya, Chase, Cooper, Danny, Ebony, Jack, Jordan, Mabel, Nkulu, Paiten, Ryan, Zach and Zoe.
A special mention goes to Chase and Danny for receiving a credit award. This award is given to the top 31% of students in Australia who completed the same assessment.
Jordan was awarded a distinction. This is for the top 6% of students in Australia who completed the assessment, and it is a wonderful achievement.
The following students participated in the Science ICAS: Arunodya, Eli, Jordan, Nkulu, Oliver, Paiten and Tom.
A credit award was presented to Jordan.
