Term 3, Week 10
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have come to the end of yet another busy and successful term. Thank you to everyone for their input in supporting the many activities, excursions and special days we have had this term.
What a great way to finish the term with our Footy Day Parade! The energy, enthusiasm, and school spirit were on full display, and it was fantastic to see so many students and staff dressed in their footy colours.
We welcome back Mrs Harriet Jenkins next term, returning from maternity leave. Mrs Jenkins will be working Tuesday and Wednesday in 5B.
On Thursday we conducted a practice Evacuation Drill as part of our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff. These drills are an important part of our emergency procedures, allowing us to ensure that everyone is familiar with the steps to take in the event of an emergency. I am pleased to report that the drill was successful, with all students and staff responding quickly and calmly. These drills will take place each term in order to continually improve our safety measures in an event of an emergency.
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Parent Advisory Council on Tuesday evening. Your input and involvement are invaluable in shaping the direction of our school community. One of the decisions made during the meeting was to move to a fortnightly school newsletter commencing next term.
Beginning next term we'll be having Zooper Dooper Icy Pole $1.00 Tuesdays as part of a special fundraiser to support our Year 6 Graduation. Students will be able to purchase icy poles every Tuesday during lunchtime and all proceeds will go towards our Year 6 Graduation.
Not Returning to Our Lady's in 2025- It is that time of year again when we are beginning to plan for 2025. If you are not intending to return in 2025 could you please let me know by email principal@olps.vic.edu.au. All we require is the name of your school for 2025 so we can send the relevant transfer documents.
As we head into the term break, take time to enjoy the Spring weather and spend time with your family. We look forward to welcoming you back for an exciting and productive Term 4. School commences on Monday 7th October.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and see you in Term 4!
Take care
Cinzia Mancuso
Acting Principal
