Middle Learning Community

Dear Families,

For our final update for the year we are thrilled to celebrate the achievements made by the students in the Middle Learning Community this term.

This term has been and will continue to be a busy one with many special activities planned.

We have been lucky enough to have participated in the Stress Busters Program within our class groups with the amazing ladies from Catholic Care. This program supported students in recognising their emotions, things that may be stressful and strategies to help us not to ‘flip our lid’. The students were so engaged in these sessions and have been practising these strategies within the classroom. We are so thankful to Cass, Helly, Sarah and Kate for coming in to share this program with us.

We have also participated in our school swimming program which was a first for many of our students after the past few years. We are incredibly proud of the efforts of our students both within the pool and in getting organised before and after their lessons. Many students stepped out of their comfort zone during this time and it was great to see so many students enjoying themselves. It was a huge week with many students appreciating a rest over the long weekend.

In Inquiry this term we have been looking at Australia and its neighbouring countries. After researching a chosen country students created a powerpoint presentation and cue cards to support them in sharing their findings with their classmates. It has been wonderful to see our 3/4 students standing up and demonstrating their confidence during these presentations.

It has been an amazing year of growth for the students within the Middle Learning Community and we are so proud of all that the students have achieved.
