Garden

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

❤️GROWING TOGETHER❤️

🌻PRIDE of PLACE🌻

😊🎶and I think to myself what a wonderful world 🌻🙏

My heart is full of gratitude watching our beautiful students effortlessly serve each other, our animals and our ever changing garden space.

Ruby, Darcy and Issy turning on sprinklers to water our garden 💦 … and themselves 🚿. Three chirpy girls (Ally, Evie 😇 and Georgie) taming three chirpy budgies. I’m not quite sure who’s taming who 🤔 ?

Darcy and Issy really love water. I mean they REALLY LOVE WATER 😱!

Sylvie and Scarlett catching white cabbage moths to feed to our chicken👏. Thanks girls . I think the chooks love you more than me now 🙄❤️.

We have chicks 🐥 feeding chooks , girls grooming our garden paths and roosters 🐔 raking 😊. Check out some of those paths. They’re so tidy you could eat your lunch off them 🍎 . Many thanks to Leah, Frankie, Georgia, Maya, Zoe, Mitch and Luca.

Guinea pigs and girls  🌈 …. Nella, Lou, Maggie, Scarlett and Amelie.  Check out Chunky and Teddy. They are here to breed with some of our female guinea pigs. They certainly scrub up well after a wash 🧼. Read more about the boys below 👇.

And a handful of eggs 🍳Mila, Ashley and a brilliant boy with a bird loving book. You are an absolute star 💫 Aston 🥇.

Our ducks and our chooks getting the care that they need. Service with a smile 😊…. Keisha, Sienna, Kathy, Morgan, Hendrix, Scout and

And all this is just one day in the life of our humming 🐝 garden sanctuary💚

Many thanks to Hazel, Nella and Daisy 👏😍for allowing us to use their two male guinea pigs for our breeding program. Needless to say Chunky, the good looking one 👀, and Teddy, the smart one 😵‍💫, are very thankful too. They look ready to do their very best. That’s the spirit thanks boys. Will sparks fly 🙏 ?, Will we have baby guinea pigs for our 2024 return to school? Please, please, please, please 🤞…… Only time will tell.

❤️A huge thank you to all those families who have offered to help with animal care over the holidays. If anyone would like to help out please contact me and I can show you what’s involved.
