Cecile Elliott
I hope you have had a smooth start to the school year.
At Brighton Primary School, we care about your child’s health and wellbeing as well as their learning. It is important to keep the school up to date with any changes to your child’s medical and health support needs. By making contact with the school nurse, I can pass relevant information on to the staff involved in caring for your child. This ensures safe and effective management of your child’s needs. All information is kept confidential. We appreciate you communicating this and providing appropriate treatment plans if required.
Free Dental Health Van Visit
This year our school will be once again offering free dental health visits for our students. We are very pleased to be able to provide this service to those who wish to participate. Further information and forms will be sent home with children in the next couple of weeks and will outline what is required.
The Australian Dental Health Van will be visiting BPS the week of March 25th, 2024. Students can receive a full check-up, preventative and general dental care at school. If your child needs further treatment, you will be called for consent.
Information regarding the program will be in the leaflet sent home, including the phone number to contact ADHV directly if you have any questions – (03) 9323 9607.
Do I need to pay anything?
No, Medicare CBDS covers these costs for eligible students via Bulk Billing. If your child is not eligible, ADHV will do a FREE Dental Health Screen and tooth strengthening remineralisation.
Do parents need to attend?
No, the dental team will ensure your child is looked after.
A Compass News Feed will be sent to parents / guardians when we receive the paperwork to be sent home with children. Please make sure you check their bag for the information if you would like to participate.
Thanks for your support.
Kind regards,
Cecile
