FAMILY FUN NIGHT

Good afternoon, 

Students and families are invited to attend our Family Fun Night on Thursday 7 March commencing at 4pm. Some of the items and activities on the day include:

• Carnival Rides
• Show bags
• Raffle prizes
• Jumping castle (safely secured under cover)
• Popcorn and fairy floss
• Badge and key ring making
• Inflatable obstacle course (safely secured in the gymnasium)
• Lucky dip prizes
• Coloured hair spray
• Face painting and much more! 

More information on activities and specific pricing will be circulated within the coming weeks.  

Ways your family can get involved to make the night a success: 

Donate items to our hugely successful raffle We are organising a range of hampers to raffle and are seeking donations. This can include items such as:

• New toys
• Arts and craft supplies
• New books
• Chocolates, lollies, and other gourmet food items
• Self-care items such as candles, fragrances and homewares
• A voucher to your favourite store
• A voucher or hamper from your family business.

Please ensure all items donated are new and are with their best before dates where applicable. All families who donate will receive a principal thank you certificate.  

Purchase Raffle Tickets

Raffle tickets will be going home with students in the coming week. Tickets will be sold for $2 each for the chance to win one of our amazing hampers. Please ensure that you write your name and room number (or mobile number) on the left-hand ticket stub and keep the corresponding ticket on the right.  All ticket books and money (including any unsold tickets) should be returned to the school office by Friday 1st March. 

Sponsor a ride or stall 

We are also looking for sponsors for our rides and stalls. By sponsoring a ride or stall, your business will receive exposure to a large audience and show your support for our school and community.  You can opt to fund the running of a ride or stall (i.e. purchase all the coloured hairspray for the hair spray stand) or decide to run a stand and coordinate volunteers. 

Volunteer your time 

We are seeking volunteers to assist our staff on the night to run our stalls. If you have a valid working with children check, have completed our volunteer training and would be available to assist on the night, please contact Laura in the office on laura.zurzolo@education.vic.gov.au or 9404 4311.

Even if you can only spare an hour, we will be very grateful for your assistance. We will also be holding a meeting, every Tuesday morning at 9am until Fun Night with any parents who would be available to attend. During these sessions we will be asking for suggestions, feedback, and assistance with preparations. 

Donate your baked goods to our bake sale 

If you love to bake and create, we invite you to make some goodies for our bake sale stall. We ask that all items provided are nut free, individually packed, don’t require refrigeration, and include a full ingredient list on each package. Due to storage restrictions, baked items will need to be delivered to the school no earlier than the morning of Family Fun Night, Thursday 7 March.   All proceeds raised from the Family Fun Night will be used to purchase outdoor table tennis tables for our senior students and a dedicated Junior School sandpit. We are sure it is going to be a great night and look forward to seeing you all there.
