Sports Update 

GOOD LUCK TO OUR SWIM TEAM!

Our thirty Swim Team members have been working super hard at fine-tuning their dive-entries, race-finish touches, stroke refinement and stream-line entries over the past few weeks and are now set for their big day out at the Oakleigh Rec. pool on Monday!   A big thank you to all parents/families for their extra-efforts in getting their child/ren to GESAC for the training sessions and to our many staff for their super-support to assist Tania in running these sessions.

We wish every swimmer all the very best for their individual and relay events on Monday at the Dendy District Swimming carnival.  Students will compete against swimmers from nine other Dendy schools.  A special thank you to the many parents that are helping in a role on the day.  GOOOOO ST. FINBAR’S!

Best wishes to our 4 Dendy Tennis reps!

We wish our four representatives; Ivy C (Yr 6), Maddison B (Yr 6), Finlay D (Yr 6) and Abel C (Yr 6) all the very best for next Thursday as they head off to Caulfield Recreation Tennis Club in Murrumbeena to represent our school in the Dendy District Tennis tournament.  These representatives will play a number of round-robin FAST-4 tennis games over the morning.  

Many thanks to their parents for arranging transport and supervision of the four students.  GOOD LUCK Abel, Finlay, Maddy and Ivy - we know you’ll give it your best and represent our school to the best of your abilities!

*WHOLE SCHOOL EVENT*

- GR Bricker Reserve, Moorabbin -

Get EXCITED! Our first whole school sporting event is set to take place in four weeks - Friday 22nd of March!  All students from Prep to Year 6 students attend this carnival, participating in a variety of track and field events at Bricker Reserve in Moorabbin.  All students are encouraged to dress in their St. Finbar’s House colours, with House points awarded for student’s athletic efforts over the day.  

Prep to Year 2 students will participate in a variety of formal and novelty athletics events over their half-day carnival, whilst our Year 3-6 students participate in numerous track and field events over the whole day.

Next week all families will receive an Operoo permission email relevant to your child/ren’s carnival.  This permission email includes all relevant details about this event and also includes a section requesting parent helpers for each carnival.  

We really value the support of parents at our sporting carnivals so please pop the date in your diaries now and we hope you can support this event in some way.  Many thanks!
