Settling Your Child Into Their Day
Settling Your Child Into Their Day
Our Educational Program at Curiosity commences around 9:15am each day. With the session opening at 8:30am, families have 45 minutes to arrive, play and settle their child in for the day.
It has been wonderful seeing children grow in confidence over our first week together as they have created some new rituals in order to say goodbye well (the green window, jetty or tree are special spots to wave goodbye). Giving time to this process supports your child's regulation, so we encourage families to be arriving before 9am to give time to this process. We love having families and siblings stay and play, so please feel welcome to stay.
From 9:15am, our learning teams are beginning their days together which means that we do not have as many staff to be able to support your child if they are feeling unsettled. We understand that mornings don't always go to plan so will endeavor to offer your child the best care and comfort possible within our resources.

Library Folders and Visits to Big School
This year we have been able to secure Gross Motor lessons for the Blue and Orange teams with the PE Teacher Mr Jason Wain on a Thursday. On this day the children will also be visiting the Library to borrow their books.
We understand that this will mean that some children will miss out, so if you would like to consider changing or adding an additional day to your child's bookings so that they can participate, please contact Mrs Karen Bloffwitch.
Throughout the year, all teams will spend time at school and Bush Kindy so there are plenty of opportunities to build a connection to our school.
Library borrowing will be held onsite on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Mrs Georg and Mrs Janetzki (Library Team) to ensure that every child has access to borrow books to read with you at home.
A tag has been placed on each child's folder to assist you in remembering to return it on the correct day. On arrival, please ask your child to place their folder in the basket in the entry. Once they have borrowed, their folders will await your collection on the benches in the entry.
Please find the Library Borrowing roster for Term 1
Labelling Items Clearly
Thank you for labelling your child's belongings. It is a great help to the team and your child to have belongings labelled so we can locate and return.
For end of day processes, if you could please put a name tag on the top loop of your child's bag so that it can be easily located that would be greatly appreciated. It does not need to be anything fancy or cost much (a homemade creation would be great).
