A Day in May

Thursday 22nd May marked our annual Day in May, a celebration and commemoration of the life of much loved former ENPS student Marcus Rosin. On May 15th 2014 at age nine, this beautiful young boy sadly lost his courageous five year battle with cancer.
Every year for a Day in May, our Junior School Council and school community take action by raising funds to support research into new treatments for children with cancer. This occasion holds such a special place all of our hearts, and last week's event was once again full of colourful hair, lolly bags, the banging of drums, colouring, raffle ticket sales, and splashes of bright yellow on students and staff across ENPS.
Together, this year we raised an amazing grand total of $3196.90! Big congratulations to our lucky raffle winners, with Zaliah (3SM) taking home first prize of a $100 Togah Boutique voucher, and Jamie (5AC) collecting our $50 LaManna voucher second prize.
All money raised will be donated to the Marcus Rosin Fund who support the Children’s Cancer Foundation’s research at the Children’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
A heartfelt thank you to Marisa Rosin, our JSC members and staff for planning and assisting on the day, our raffle donors, our Year Five students for selling more of their handmade jewellery to raise extra funds, and to our parents and carers who donated lollies, coloured hairspray and their time to help pack lolly bags. It's wonderful to have such a strong community getting behind A Day in May each year, and we appreciate your ongoing support for this very important cause. Thank you.
