Dreaming our Future Jobs
It was great to see staff, students and parents get involved to make this a meaningful learning day and a FUN day for our children. There were a wide range of 'Dream Jobs,' and it was sensational that some parents were able to share a video of their job and come along as well to share about their job and answer their questions. It was also very exciting to have Police cars appear at school. The sky is the limit! We want our children to feel empowered to pursue their dream careers. It will be interesting to see what they will be. Our dream is what ever they choose they remember the importance of being respectful to one another in their family, their work place and in their community.
Prep Enrolments are near Capacity for 2026!
If you know someone thinking about their child starting at our wonderful school, they need to act fast. Book a tour, complete an application online and attend an interview to secure a place at St Francis de Sales for 2026. Delay and you will MISS out and will need to go on a waiting list. Spread the word so friends and families are aware that places are now limited for 2026.
A Swarm of Activity at our Working Bee!
It was a perfect day last Saturday for our first working bee for 2025. The first one coordinated by Ange and myself. It was very pleasing to see the numbers of parents who signed up. The BIGGEST I have ever seen!! There was a lot to do and our sensational parents put on their gloves and got stuck into the tasks listed. In just over two hours the majority of tasks were done. As the saying goes, "Many hands make light work!" They made light work of lopping tree branches and placing them into the skip, mulching, weeding and pruning. We filled up holes on the oval and topped up the veggie gardens with new top soil. The sand pit got a tidied up, the autumn leaves swept up and in the end the entire school grounds looked fantastic. Thanks to all our workers and to the P&F who had sausages sizzling and ready for the hungry workers when the jobs were done and everything packed up. Great team work by all. Also a chance to make connections with other parents. Thanks also to parents who also offered to give us a hand to coordinate the next working bee. We have your names!! Thanks.
Playground is Getting re-surfaced!
The rainbow playground at the front of the school was closed off this week. In addition gates by the community garden also stayed locked. However it was all worth it, as we had a crew set to work to resurface the playground. This is the first original playground at the school and the surface did very well to last 15 years. We had nursed it with fixes in recent years, however it was now time for major works that were costly. The playground works will be completed on Friday. Weather permitting it will be ready for use early next week. We hope you enjoy the splash of colour and the design created by our school team.
School Photo Day
It was great to see the children across the school looking so smart and all wearing the correct school uniform. We have a great school uniform and we stand out when we wear it with pride. It is important that all children wear the correct uniform to school each day. We will be keeping a close eye on this for the remainder of the year.

I will be on Long Service Leave from Monday 2nd June and will return on Monday 21st July for the start of Term 3. Angela Faiola will be Acting Principal during this time. I am looking forward to this special time with my family. Look after one another and have a great winter break when July rolls around. Term 3 will be a big one as we commence with our School Review and prepare for our School Concert. Lots to enjoy and look forward to during Semester 2.
