Konnichiwa, Monty Community!
Our Grade 1 and 2 students have been learning the names of different fruits. They’ve also begun a fun and interactive role-play activity, acting as shopkeepers and customers in a fruit shop. The shopkeeper greets with a cheerful “いらっしゃいませ (Irasshaimase)” meaning “Welcome!”, and the customer replies with “(Fruit) をください – (Fruit wo kudasai)” meaning “Please give me (fruit).”It’s a tricky phrase to master, but it’s been so impressive to see the students giving it a go with great enthusiasm and having lots of fun along the way!
Meanwhile, our Grade 3 and 4 students have been role-playing hospital scenes, taking turns as doctors and patients. Through these activities, they’ve been building confidence in using Japanese vocabulary for body parts. Our popular 'Body Song' has also helped make learning both engaging and memorable.
Well done to all our students for showing such a positive attitude and giving their best every lesson!
