Drama

In Year 8, students explore theatre from a range of genres and experience some of the conventions that belong to different performance styles. Each week they learn about different aspects of 19 performance within the theatrical styles. The course then moves to an emphasis on three dramatic art forms: Mime, Mask and Radio Play. 

At the conclusion of the course, students perform their own radio play for their peers. They have an opportunity to develop their expressive skills and work with stagecraft elements (props, costumes, set, lighting, sound).
