Music

This elective offers students the opportunity to extend their musical knowledge and skills. They will work in various contexts and genres to refine their rehearsal and performance techniques on their own chosen instrument. 

The Units covered in this elective are: 

• Musical Analysis and Composition 

• World Music

• Jazz Music and the Blues 

• Pop Music 

Within the context of these units, exercises and activities are used to develop the students’ skills in Performance, Creative Organisation (Composition), Aural Training (Listening) and in Musicology (History and Theory).
