Respectful Relationships

In our Respectful Relationships sessions at LPS most year levels have now started to learn about the important topic of Problem Solving. Problem-solving skills are an important part of coping and building resilience. Students learn a range of problem-solving techniques to apply when confronting personal, social and ethical dilemmas. They engage in scenario-based learning tasks to practise their problem-solving skills in relevant situations.

Pictured are some of the problem solving tools our Grade 3-6 students will learn to use, the Roads and Roundabout Model & Flower Model. We encourage parents/carers to ask your children about your child's RR sessions, even discussing hypothetical scenarios or problems and how they might overcome these, will be a great way to reinforce their learning.

IDAHOBIT DAY

Last week,  Friday May 16, Leongatha Education Precinct acknowledged IDAHOBIT Day. For our school, we focused on celebrating inclusion and diversity in our school community. Students spent time discussing the wonderful things that make them and their families unique through picture story books and activities. They also had a closer look at our school vision where together we unpacked the word inclusion, and explored ways we can make our school a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone.
