P/1
To finish off our term on "Seasonal changes" we looked at how weather effects the water supply and what happens if there is no water for people or animals. As it has been so windy lately, we also discussed how the wind effects the garden/outdoors, animals and people (dust, pollen, people being hit by items).
1/2
We had a lovely picnic with our teddies and some family members. The weather wasn't on our side and the students decided that it was too windy to enjoy outdoors so we had our food and games in the multipurpose room.
MUSIC
It's been practise, practise, practise! And how it paid off!
I'm hoping you all enjoyed our production of 'What A Knight!'
I was amazed and so proud of all our students' performances, especially those who had speaking roles and their commitment, but also those students who I knew were a little anxious to be on stage in front of so many people but overcame their anxiety and in doing so have built resilience... congratulations!
I'm on LSL for the first 2 weeks next term - Emily and I are heading to the UK where we will be visiting all sorts of 'literary' sites, think Jane Austen, Pooh Bear, Paddington, Downton Abbey, Bath as well as famous London landmarks, soaking up lots of historical, theatrical and musical experiences. She is then staying to complete a library study tour for her degree. I'll be back for camp!

Chickens
We have had our first chicken born. It is very dark in colour and very tired from pecking it's way out of the egg! It took a few hours from the first peck to the whole chick coming out. Hopefully they all will be out by the time the next newsletter comes out.
We have a family to care for the little chicks over the holidays at their house who will take photos to show us their growth.
