Principal's Message

NAIDOC Day

We’re excited to celebrate NAIDOC Day this Friday with a fun and meaningful program for all students. This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.

A BBQ will be held for all students to enjoy, followed by a special assembly at 12:30pm, where our dance groups will perform traditional and contemporary Indigenous dances. We warmly invite parents and carers to join us for the assembly.

Students are encouraged to wear the colours of the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander flags to show their support and respect. We look forward to a wonderful day of learning, celebration, and community spirit.

Student Safety

I would like to kindly remind and encourage all families to ensure that children come straight into the school grounds each morning upon arrival.

Recently, we have received several concerns regarding some students engaging in unsafe behaviour before school, including deliberately enticing the magpies nesting on our school grounds. This not only causes distress to the birds but also puts our students at risk of injury.

By coming directly into the school each morning, children are better supervised and can begin their day in a calm and positive environment. I appreciate your support in reinforcing this message with your child to help us maintain a safe and respectful school community for everyone.
