Dear Families, 

Welcome to Term 3! We hope you and your families enjoyed a restful and positive break. 

NAPLAN 2026 

As an exciting way to begin the term, we were delighted to learn that St Liborius' School was recognised among a number of schools across the Sandhurst Diocese for achieving excellent results in the 2026 NAPLAN assessments. In a year when Catholic Education Sandhurst celebrated stronger-than-expected student achievement following the implementation of Magnify Sandhurst, St Liborius was acknowledged for having more than 80% of students achieving at the Strong or Exceeding proficiency levels in Year 3 Writing. 

We are particularly proud of our Year 3 students, whose outstanding results reflect their hard work, commitment to learning, and the dedication of their teachers. These results are a wonderful affirmation of the collective efforts of our students, families, and staff and give us great confidence as we continue our journey of striving to "know better and do better" for every learner. Congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding achievement. 

GOAL SETTING  

This week, we are excited to welcome families to our Goal Setting Meetings. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity for students, families, and teachers to work together to establish learning goals and discuss priorities for the semester ahead. If you have not yet booked a time, it is not too late. Please log in to PAM and make a booking with your child's teacher. If no suitable times remain available, please contact your child's teacher directly to arrange an alternative opportunity to meet. 

ST LIBORIUS FEAST DAY

Yesterday, our parish community celebrated the Feast of St Liborius during the annual Liborifest celebrations. It was wonderful to see our parish come together in faith, fellowship, and celebration as we honoured our patron saint and reflected on the values that continue to guide and inspire our community. 

At St Liborius', we will continue these celebrations with a Whole School Mass on Thursday 23 July. We warmly invite all families, friends, and parishioners to join us as we gather in prayer and thanksgiving. We look forward to celebrating this special occasion together as a faith-filled school community. 

SWIMMING PROGRAM

As communicated previously, our Swimming Program begins next week. Swimming is an important part of our curriculum, helping students develop confidence, safety awareness, and essential life skills ahead of the summer season. Please ensure that students arrive prepared on their designated swimming day with their bathers, towel, and any other required items so they can make the most of this valuable learning opportunity. 

SAVE THE DATE!

Finally, I would like to encourage everyone to support our upcoming Trivia Night on Friday 4 September. This promises to be a fantastic evening and a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school community for plenty of fun and laughter. We are incredibly grateful to Mr John O'Connor, who has generously agreed to lead the evening for us once again. 

If you are unsure about attending, I encourage you to come along anyway. Those who joined us last year consistently reported having a fantastic night. Thank you to the many families and friends who have already secured their tables. We look forward to another memorable evening of community, connection, and fun.
