This week in Visual Art, we have been acknowledging N.A.I.D.O.C. Week through Art in a variety of ways!
As a class, we analysed artworks by Aboriginal and Torres Strait artists – looking at the colours, lines and shapes the artists used to create meaning and tell a story in their artwork!

Prep: Use the digital drawing app (Draw and Tell) to create a Jimmy Pike inspired Indigenous Artwork.
Year 1: Use coloured markers and pencils to create an Aboriginal-inspired artworkusing indigenous symbols.
Year 2: Create a dot painting using cotton buds, acrylic paint and indigenous symbols.
Year 3: Use black markers and fine-liners to create an Aboriginal-inspired artwork using indigenous symbols.
Year 4: Use bingo dot markers and Indigenous symbols to create an Artwork that tells a story.
Year 5: Use black markers and fine-liners to create an Aboriginal-inspired artwork using indigenous symbols.
Year 6: Create a collaborative Artwork that tells a story, using paint markers and Indigenous Symbols.
