🌙 Healthy Sleep for School Success

A good night’s sleep helps children learn, concentrate and manage their emotions at school.

When children sleep well, they are more ready to listen, remember new information, and enjoy their day.

Most primary school children need 9–11 hours of sleep each night to feel their best.

😴 Tips for Better Sleep

  • Keep a regular bedtime — even on weekends.
  • Turn off screens at least one hour before bed. The light from TVs, tablets and phones can make it harder to fall asleep.
  • Create a calm bedtime routine. Try quiet activities like reading, gentle music or talking about the day.
  • Make the bedroom comfortable. Keep lights low, noise down, and the room cool.

Good sleep helps children feel happier, think more clearly and cope better with challenges.

A calm, consistent bedtime routine is one of the simplest ways to support your child’s wellbeing and learning.
