Maths Masterclass: Our Grade 4 Maths Games and Grade 6 Maths Olympiad students recently took part in an exciting Maths Masterclass - an afternoon designed to challenge, inspire, and celebrate our high-ability mathematicians!

Students began the session by creating their own team names, then worked collaboratively to complete a range of maths-related challenges. Each activity encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking, with teams earning points for accuracy, effort, speed, and how well they demonstrated our school values throughout the session.

After some learning, challenge and collaboration, students enjoyed lunch where they had the chance to chat about their experiences in high-ability programs and connect with like-minded peers from other year levels.

To finish the day, we crowned our overall champions - Minal, Gauri, Vianka, and Prita! Congratulations to our winners and to every student who participated with enthusiasm, curiosity, and determination.

A huge thank you to Mrs Williams and Miss Pearce for organising such a fun and engaging Masterclass session full of mathematical challenges and teamwork. What a fantastic way to celebrate the incredible thinking power of our Tarneit Rise mathematicians!
