Grade 4G
Wow! Can you believe that we are already halfway through the term? Before we know it, Christmas will be here!
This term, we have loved reading our class novel His Name Was Walter. The story has kept us guessing, and we’ve been hanging on to every word as we uncover more about the mystery and the characters. We are writing our own narrative and using the skills we have been learning on how to keep our readers engaged and hooks to grab them in.
In Maths, we’ve been learning all about 3D shapes, building, describing, and discovering how they appear in the world around us. We also learnt about data interpretation, discovering how to pose the right questions to find the answers we need.
In Religious Education, our topic, Reaching Out and Serving Others, has helped us think about the many ways we can show kindness and help people in our school and community. This week we start our new topic, The Jesse Tree, where will discover and study Jesus’ family tree.
The end of the year is coming quickly, but we still have lots of exciting learning and activities ahead! We’ll soon be heading to Galen to see their latest production 'The Wizard of Oz', and later in the term, we’ll be taking part in swimming lessons at the Barr Reserve.
