Term 4 Forum & AGM - TUESDAY 11th November, 7pm in the library and online (link to be shared separately)
Join us for our Term 4 School forum, the last of the year, as we recap and discuss all that the school has achieved to date in Term 4 and, indeed, across the year. It is your opportunity to hear what plans are in store through our school/parent partnerships for 2026 and to provide input, suggestions, and feedback on anything you feel would make our school even better than it currently is!
As part of our Term 4 forum, we will be appointing our P&F Team for 2026 through our AGM process.
In 2025, the P&F Team consisted of our executive roles: President, Treasurer, Secretary, and DBB CSP rep, along with the P&F-appointed roles of Class Parent Coordinators, Green Team Coordinator and Uniform Exchange Coordinator. As per our constitution, all roles are to be vacated and reappointed for the new school year. Current terms for sitting parents are noted below.
Our Team in 2025 is:
President: Olwyn Connolly (3rd and final term)
Secretary: Bridget Faure (1st term - nominated for 2nd term )
Treasurers: Nina Hua & Si Lo (1st term - nominated for 2nd term)
CSP Rep: Shane Norton (2nd term - nominated for 3rd term)
Class Parent Coordinators: Anna Roberts (3rd term), Pip Markham (1st term) & Stephen Xu (2nd term)
We are specifically seeking nominations for the President role for 2026. We would encourage anyone interested in learning more about this role to speak to Olwyn or Pauline directly (contact the office to be put in touch). We welcome nominations for all roles and multiple nominations will be discussed on the night as part of AGM proceedings. Where necessary, a vote will be cast on nominations received. To help you consider contributing your time to help our P&F function here is an overview of the roles:
President (1pax) The president is the heart of the committee, guiding the team and fostering collaboration. They lead with vision, facilitating discussions that help set goals, inspire new ideas, and drive positive change for our school community. They work closely with the principal and school leadership and the Parish Priest to ensure the school is achieving all it can both within its own community and in our parish. They represent the school in our community and other forums of schools across the diocese. They preside over all P&F meetings and provide leadership and direction to the P&F Team and its subcommittees. They have an open and collaborative relationship with each member of the Team and Sub-committees to ensure the goals are achieved, and needs and issues are addressed.
Treasurer & Co-Treasurer (2 pax) More than just a "numbers person," the treasurers are our financial navigators. They manage budgets, oversee fundraising efforts, and ensure funds are used effectively, supporting initiatives that make a real impact on students and families. Some accounting or bookkeeping experience is highly desirable for this role. We deliberately seek two people to share this role to ensure that the operational aspects and annual audit process are managed well and don't burden people's time contributions too much.
Secretary (1pax) The secretary plays a dual role as both the organiser and communicator for the P&F Team. In addition to traditional secretariat duties—such as preparing agendas, arranging P&F meetings and forums, and recording and distributing minutes—the secretary ensures timely and effective communication between the P&F Team, the school, and its community, keeping everyone informed and connected.
DBB - Catholic School Parent Rep (1pax) This role represents the interest of our parents to the Schools Office at DBB, to ensure our voice is present in decisions they make our schools in the diocese. The representative attends quarterly meetings to discuss strategic and operational issues at play at DBB and take back key messages and updates to our parents as they relate to how we plan and deliver our events that support the school, most notably through fundraising.
Class Parent Coordinators (3pax) This team is all about connection and clarity. Working hand in hand with the secretary and president, the class parent coordinators ensure key messages, updates, and requests are shared seamlessly with class parents. They also support class parents to foster a sense of community and belonging for our families. They guide the organisation of events by each class and help to coordinate Class Parent catchups during the year. A call for our 2025 Class Parents will be made in week 8 of term 4.
Green Team Coordinator (1pax): This role champions our school’s sustainability efforts, working closely with our school leadership to support our Green Team in growing the number of initiatives they run at school. Our Green Team manage our school veggie pods and bee hotel and coordinates groundskeeping projects. They want to foster environmental awareness among students with initiatives like Wast Free Wednesday. They inspire hands-on learning about sustainability and help our school community embrace eco-friendly practices and a love for nature. Our coordinator helps them plan for these activities, sources supporters to contribute time to achieving them, and regularly communicates their efforts to the school community.
Yearbook Lead (1pax - with a team to support): The yearbook lead is the creative storyteller of our school community, capturing the highlights, memories, and milestones of the year. They coordinate a team of parents who collectively contribute to the yearbook's content development and design process and ensure every student's story is celebrated in a beautiful keepsake for all to treasure.
Uniform Swap Shop Coordinator (2pax - with additional volunteers called on when needed): The uniform swap shop coordinator manages our sustainable solution for school uniforms, organising and facilitating the exchange of pre-loved items once per term, plus at the Kindy orientation. They help collect pre-loved uniforms at key times during the year, keep the stock in check and make it available for our regular Uniform Swaps during the year, making dressing our students easier and more affordable while reducing waste.
We continue to seek expressions of interest to reinstate our Lindfield Art Show & Fair Team to deliver on our goal of celebrating the 50th anniversary of this much-loved event in 2026. At a minimum, this event requires a core team of 3 Coordinators (3pax): the team that gets to work early in the year to lay the plans for our school’s flagship event. You will act as the key group to manage the pre-event planning, including liaising with our artists, coordinating the delivering the art show exhibition, preparing the social media and other marketing plans, coordinating the fair zones and suppliers, managing our volunteer needs for the lead-up to and over the event, and coordinating a program of sponsorship and support in our community for our fundraising and raffle.
