Principal's Message

Dear Holy Family Parents,
World Teachers’ Day
Today we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate World Teachers’ Day, a special occasion to recognise and honour the incredible dedication, passion, and professionalism of our teaching staff. Each day, our teachers and staff go above and beyond to inspire, support, and nurture the students in our care. Their commitment to fostering a positive and enriching learning environment is truly the heart of our school community.
On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our very generous Parents and Friends (P&F) Committee and the wider parent community for organising and providing a scrumptious lunch in celebration of World Teachers’ Day. It was a thoughtful and deeply appreciated gesture that reminded us how fortunate we are to be part of such a supportive and caring school family. Thank you for helping to make World Teachers’ Day so special.
Student Leadership Speeches
This week, we were inspired by the heartfelt speeches delivered by the Year 5 students aspiring to lead in 2026. Each candidate stood before their peers with confidence, sharing their vision for the future and the values they hope to uphold. Their words reflected the essence of our school motto "Strength and Gentleness" as they spoke with conviction, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility. Themes of faith, integrity, and commitment resonated throughout, reminding us of the qualities we seek in our student leaders.
As we move into the next phase of the leadership selection process, students and staff will cast their votes to help determine our future leaders. In addition, candidates will participate in interviews with members of the school’s executive leadership team, offering further opportunity to demonstrate their readiness to serve. We commend all candidates for their courage and dedication, and we look forward to announcing the 2026 student leadership team in the coming weeks.
2026 Kindergarten Orientation
Our recent Kindergarten Orientation Parent Evening was a wonderful opportunity for families to connect, learn, and begin their journey with our school community. Parents had the chance to gain valuable insights into what lies ahead for their children in 2026.
The evening was filled with warmth and excitement, reflecting our school’s commitment to nurturing each child with "Strength and Gentleness". It was wonderful to see families engaging with one another and beginning to build the relationships that will support their children’s growth and learning.
We now look forward to our upcoming Kindergarten Orientation Days, where our newest students will meet their peers and be introduced to their Kindy Buddies—older students who will help guide and support them as they settle into school life. These special days are designed to ease the transition and spark joy and confidence in our future learners.
We can’t wait to welcome our Kindy stars into the classroom and begin this exciting new chapter together.
Colour Fun Run
I am thrilled to give an update on the Colour Fun Run, proudly supported by our amazing P&F Committee as a major fundraising event! A huge thank you to Amanda Hale (mum of Elsey in Year 1) and the dedicated P&F team for their enthusiasm and hard work.
To add to the buzz, there are daily spot prize draws for registered students. Winners are announced over the microphone and get to choose a prize from the spot prize box—creating enormous excitement across the school!
This year’s event promises even more fun with disco moves, tabloid sports, colourful running, and new inflatables. All funds raised will support our Creative Arts programs, including Zing Activ dance lessons and Musica Viva experiences in 2025.
Thank you to all our families for your support. We can’t wait to see the fun unfold on Friday 21st November!
Trivia Night This Saturday!
We can’t wait for the fun to begin this Saturday at our much-anticipated Trivia Night—a fabulous evening of laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit.
Proudly organised by our amazing parent community, this event is a wonderful chance to connect and enjoy some light-hearted fun together. A special thank you goes to Esther Touma and her team of generous parents for their incredible planning and effort behind the scenes. With staff joining in on the night, expect some healthy rivalry and plenty of laughs.
Kindest regards,
Pauline Dinale - Principal
