Term 4 means...

It's time to replace our usual 'Hot Chocolate' in a keep cup with a

'Spider' in a keep tumbler!

Don't worry, hot chippies are STILL on the menu!!

School-Wide Positive Behaviour

Pakenham Springs provides a happy, safe, supportive and caring environment based on mutual respect, in which all students are valued as individuals and encouraged to develop to their full potential.

Our Student Wellbeing approach is based on our school Values, the 3 R’s;

What are Froggy Dollars?

Froggy Dollars are a way to acknowledge the positive behaviours of our students at Pakenham Springs. We have 3 different coloured dollars for 3 different positive behaviours.

The red Froggy Dollar is for when students have shown RESPECT

The blue Froggy Dollar is for when students have shown RESPONSIBILITY

The green Froggy Dollar is for when students have shown RESILIENCE.

How Can Students Earn Froggy Dollars?

When students positively display RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY and/or RESILIENCE behaviours during class and break times, and a staff member sees this behaviour, they will receive a Froggy Dollar.

What Happens When Students Have Lots of Froggy Dollars?

We have 3 Awards that come with special 'acknowledgments' when students get certain amounts of Froggy Dollars.

Can Students Save Their Froggy Dollars and Get a Gold Award First?

When students have 30 Froggy Dollars, they will first receive their BRONZE award and pick an 'acknowledgment' from the Froggy Dollar Shop. They then go back to zero and can start earning their SILVER award, and then their GOLD.

What is the Froggy Dollar Shop?

The Froggy Dollar Shop is where students come to get their BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD Awards stamped. It is held on Tuesdays at eating time in the LIBRARY

Students will come to the Froggy Dollar Shop when they have sufficient Froggy Dollars and have been given an award by their teacher to be stamped.

When students get to the Froggy Dollar Shop, if they have a BRONZE or SILVER award, they will get their certificate stamped, and they will be able to pick an 'acknowledgment' that they can use when they choose. When students have a GOLD award, they will get their certificate stamped, and their names will be recorded.

Students will receive an invitation stating which day they will receive their Gold Award treats (on a fortnightly basis - usually a Wednesday). Students will be invited to the staffroom for a special 'Spider' drink at the start of recess in a keep-tumbler and a hot chip lunch at eating time!

What are the different 'Acknowledgements' students can choose for their Bronze and Silver Awards?
