It’s been an active and exciting fortnight in PE, with students across the school building their fitness, coordination, and teamwork through a range of fun activities!

Our Foundation students have been developing their Fundamental Movement Skills through engaging stations involving balance, target throwing, relays, yoga, and cooperative games. They’ve shown fantastic persistence and joy as they continue strengthening their movement foundations.

The 1/2 students have been learning the fundamentals of Hockey, focusing on safe stick handling, dribbling, and passing with control. It’s been wonderful to see their focus and enthusiasm shine through in each lesson.

In 3/4 PE, students have begun their first lessons in Sofcrosse, practising catching, passing, and gameplay while showing excellent teamwork and communication. They also recently completed the Beep Test, working hard to set personal fitness goals and celebrate their effort and endurance.

Our 5/6 students are preparing for this week’s District Round Robin on Friday, representing Ripponlea in Handball, Rounders, Touch Rugby, and Sofcrosse. They’ve also completed their Beep Test, showing determination and strong fitness levels as they challenge themselves to improve.

We’re incredibly proud of the effort and sportsmanship across all year levels, with students consistently demonstrating our school values of Respect, Pride, and Safety on and off the field.

JAPANESE LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Time flies! It’s such a joy to see our students making wonderful progress in their Japanese learning journey.

Our junior students have been learning to name different fruits and use adjectives to describe their colours and sizes.

Meanwhile, our middle and senior students have been expanding their vocabulary and practising everyday communication, including conversation about what they did over the weekend.

It’s fantastic to see everyone growing in confidence and using Japanese to connect and catch up with one another.

 Well done, everyone.
