Dear Parents and Students,
Year 12 Reflections
Term 4 marks the conclusion of classes for our Year 12 students and the celebrations that accompany this milestone. I must say, this year’s cohort hosted the most elegant and memorable celebrations I have been part of. The work of the Year 12 Council was truly outstanding.
Across the first two and a half weeks of the term, we enjoyed a variety of events - school assemblies, house assemblies, and dress-up days - each one embraced wholeheartedly by the community. These celebrations were heartfelt, inclusive, well-planned, and fun.
As I write, the VCAA exam period is well underway, and our Year 12 cohort continues to impress. They arrive at each exam well-prepared and with a positive attitude; two qualities that will serve them well in life. I wish them every success with their remaining exams and look forward to celebrating with them and their families at graduation in December.
Year 10 & 11 Exams
Term 4 also marks the completion of classes for our Year 10 and 11 students, who are currently undertaking their exams. I hope they view this as a valuable learning experience that will prepare them for Year 12. Exams are a crucial part of the VCE system, requiring students to manage preparation, time, and stress effectively.
That said, Year 10 and 11 exam results should be kept in perspective. They are best seen as opportunities for growth; moments to reflect, refine practice, and build resilience for the future.
End-of-Year Program
Following the JMSS exam period, we move into our End-of-Year Alternative Program. Running from 13–26 November, this program offers exciting experiences for our Year 10 and 11 students. Details will be shared via Compass, and I encourage every student to fully engage and make the most of this opportunity.
On 28 November, we will hold exam feedback sessions before launching into the 2026 academic year. Subject orientation will run from 1–9 December. The final day of students programs is on 10 December, featuring an immersive experience for those undertaking Unit 3 Chemistry in 2026.
Presentation Night
Finally, I warmly invite all members of our school community to attend Presentation Night at Robert Blackwood Hall on 5 December. More information will be shared via Compass.

Many thanks,
