Boys' toilets - Blue Area
It has come to our attention that food items or remnants of food (such as buttery sandwiches or fruit peels) have been found in the toilet bowls. This makes it difficult for our cleaning staff to maintain the facilities. We kindly ask that when sending children to the boys’ toilets in the blue area, you ensure they are not taking any food with them.
Students should not have food with them in the yard at any time, except during transition periods when they are being actively supervised by Specialist teachers in the sensory garden for their brain break.

Swimming Carnival - Houses
As mentioned at the swimming carnival briefing on Monday afternoon, we have now allocated all students to a 'house' for the swimming carnival next week. At this stage house names are colours (yellow, red, blue, green) but we will work through a process of naming them next year.
Students will earn a point for their house by entering a swimming event and can also be awarded extra points for effort and demonstrating our school values during the event. Could Year 3-6 class teachers please:
- let students know which house they are in (you can see this by opening up a class list on Compass - see attached screenshot)
- Remind students that they can wear a t-shirt in their house colours on the Swimming Carnival day (sunsmart rules still apply)
- Explain how they can earn points for their house at the swimming carnival.
If you have any queries or notice that any students have not been allocated to a house, please let me know ASAP.

Apology
I just wanted to say a quick sorry to any year levels who participated in the dog incursion this week and had to wait for the technology to be set up before starting the session with Maria!
- Kellie Jackson
Following on from Kellie. The sound system has changed in the hall and has a different set up, If you wish to use a microphone, head set or sound out from your laptop, let me know and I can set it up for you ahead of time. By next year we will have our student tech assistants fully trained and ready to assist you.
If you wish to only project your laptop (no sound), the set up is the same.

The Planning Week Timetable is Ready!
Thanks one and all for your feedback and support in developing the planning week timetable for Week 10! I have made a few tweaks in response to feedback so please make sure you are familiar with your role each day to help the planning week run as smoothly as possible! Just a few things to note in advance of planning week:
- Please go through your class's planning day timetable with the students ahead of time (i.e. the day before) and display the timetable on your classroom door so that your children know what to expect and where to go
- Please ensure you know what your role is for each day, especially if you are moving year levels as you may be required to cover another staff member on your current year level's planning day.
- If you are covering another staff member please touch base with them before the planning day to make sure you are aware of the plan for the day and any students of note
- As part of your planning for Week 10 please remember to provide a 'Team Building' activity for your planning day, as all year levels will have a 5th session taken by a specialist which is labelled as 'Team Building'. There is a link in the planning week timetable for where to save these lesson plans.
Stay tuned for more information about the planning day agenda for the 2026 teams and please let me know if you have any queries about planning week.

Please support by scanning QR code or clicking on poster!
Reminder: Teacher blurbs for 2026
Just a gentle reminder that teacher blurbs for your 2026 classes need to be completed by the end of Week 9 (Fri 5 December). This allows plenty of time for them to be formatted and printed in the office before the transition day in Week 11. Please access the document here and update your blurb if you have not already done so.

A Lost Item Needed to Be Found by its Owner
The following diary has been found in one of the Year 6 classroom cupboards. It doesn't belong to the Year 6 Team. If it belongs to you and would like to have it again, it is in Janet's office. If not collected before the end of next week, it will end up in the recycle bin.

Student health need paperwork for 2026
In the next week I will be putting paperwork for students with health needs in your tubs. Please make sure that you give them to your students to take home.
Thanks Jackie
