Visual Arts (Mrs Bleicher)

Visual Arts News
Over the next few weeks, our Visual Arts lessons will connect closely with each year level’s classroom Humanities and Science topics:
Foundations: Students will explore texture, line, and shape through painting and drawing. They will create artworks that explore and describe features of animals, using their art to communicate their understanding of living things.
Year 1/2: Students will experiment with texture using tools like paint, salt, and collage materials, while also exploring line, shape, and colour. They will create personal artworks that convey messages about the environment.
Year 3/4: Students will develop mixed-media dioramas representing day and night. Their 3D creations will show daily changes on Earth, combining creativity with scientific observation.
Year 5/6: Students will explore portraiture, learning how to draw faces with accurate facial proportions and features. They will paint portraits of chosen Australian Prime Ministers, experimenting with tone and shading to create form and depth.
