Foundation News- Getting Ready for Concert.

We have been really busy in the Foundation classrooms over the past few weeks. Our Prep students are super excited to be performing in their very first school concert. Every day we have been  practising their dance moves every day, ready to perform on stage at the Cardinia Cultural Centre. Another highlight for our students has been spending time with our senior buddies. We have completed activities around mapping and location in the school playgrounds and playing friendship bingo to learn interesting things about each other.

3/4 News - Science Time!

The 3/4 classes have completed a unit on persuasive reading and writing, which we learned about alongside our unit on civics and citizenship in which we learnt about how government works. Please check in with any Grade 3 or 4 student and see if our persuasive techniques have improved!

We have now begun a new unit learning about information reports and non-fiction texts, along with learning all about science. In Week 5 we experimented with icecream, and turning a liquid into a solid. In Week 6 we had fun making oobleck out of cornflour and water, and experimenting with it feeling like a solid and a liquid at the same time.

We have also been busy rehearsing for school concert, and look forward to performing for you!

5/6 News - Hooptime

Last week, the Grade 5/6 students competed in the Hooptime Basketball Tournament, showcasing great teamwork and school spirit. All four teams represented the school with enthusiasm, played hard and supported one another throughout the day. The highlight was the All Star Boys team, who went undefeated, winning all their games and taking out the grand final in an exciting match by just 2 points. It was a fantastic day of fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship, with every student giving their best effort and enjoying the experience.
