Student Engagement

Welcome to Week 6!

It’s hard to believe how quickly the term is moving, and it has been inspiring to see our students continuing to grow in confidence, resilience and kindness. At St Fidelis, our wellbeing focus remains at the heart of everything we do, helping our students feel safe, connected and ready to learn.

TRP@Home Workshops

We are delighted to invite families to join us for one of our upcoming TRP@Home Workshops.

  • Term 3: Wednesday 3rd September - Evening Session: 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm
  • Term 4: Wednesday 8th October - Morning Session: 9:00 am - 10:00 am

These workshops will explore how families can bring the Resilience Project pillars, Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness (GEM),  into everyday home life. Parents and carers will gain practical tools to support children’s emotional wellbeing, strengthen connections and encourage resilience.

We encourage all families to attend one of these engaging sessions and continue our GEM journey together.

TRP in Our Community

The Resilience Project is more than just a program within our classrooms; it is a whole-school and whole-community approach. By embedding GEM strategies across learning, play and home life, we are nurturing students who can recognise their strengths, support others and build healthy habits for life.

Our students continue to show leadership through GEM chats, daily reflections and wellbeing activities, helping everyone see the positive impact of gratitude, empathy and mindfulness in action.

GEM Leaders

Our GEM Leaders have been working behind the scenes, setting goals and identifying ways we can develop further as a GEM School. The leaders have set goals and worked towards achieving these during their sessions.

Some of the goals include:

  • Continue to engage in GEM Chats in the class regularly
  • Writing about what they have been engaging in during TRP in their year levels
  • Writing a letter to Mrs Watson
  • Creating displays about GEM

We will continue to meet fortnightly with the GEM Leaders, and we will keep you updated on all our exciting happenings. In the meantime, here is a GEM Chat you can engage with your family at home this week.

We look forward to seeing many of you at our TRP@Home Workshops, and thank you for your continued support in building a strong, compassionate and resilient school community.

Warmly,

Vicky, Bianka and Vira
