School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is a globally recognised, evidence-based framework that helps schools create safe, positive, and inclusive environments where students and staff can thrive.

SWPBS supports the Education State priorities and the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 by helping schools build consistent, whole-school systems that promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion—creating the right conditions for effective teaching, learning, and leadership across the school.

We began our SWPBS journey when we renewed our whole school values.

Our next step has been to develop a set of "behaviour expectations" for our whole school community. We have collaborated with both students and staff to build our Whole School Matrix of Expected Behaviours.

Next, we develop a small matrix that states expected behaviours in each classroom. This matrix has been built with the students having the most input.

Our next step is to set up a “reward” system for the students.

Please take the opportunity to read through the matrix and talk about it with your family.
