Physical Education

It’s been an exciting and active term in Physical Education across all year levels! Here's a snapshot of what our students have been learning and achieving
Prep:
Our prep students have been focusing on the fundamental motor skill of kicking. Through fun games and activities, students are developing coordination, balance, and control. It’s wonderful to see their confidence grow with each kick!
Grade 1 & 2:
Students in Grades 1 and 2 have been refining their kicking skills and learning the new skill of punting. They’ve been practicing the techniques, working in teams, and using these skills in modified games that build both confidence and teamwork.
Grade 3 & 4:
Grades 3 and 4 have taken on the exciting sport of Pickleball! They’ve been learning the rules, basic techniques, and gameplay strategies, including serving, rallying, and scoring. The unit will conclude with small tournaments, giving students a fun opportunity to apply their new skills in a friendly competitive setting.
Grade 5 & 6:
Students in Grades 5 and 6 have been immersed in Volleyball, focusing on key skills such as serving, setting, passing and rallying. In addition to technical development, they’ve also explored the rules and strategies of the game. This unit wraps up with an exciting tournament, where students can showcase their learning, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

- Friday 22nd August: Grade 5-6 Girls Lunchtime Basketball Clinic
- Tuesday 26th August: Sport & Wellbeing Expo 4:30pm - 5:30pm
- Wednesday 3rd September: Grade 5-6 Hoop Time Tournament
- Wednesday 10th September: District Athletics
- Tuesday 16th September: Grade 5-6 Lightning Prem
