Congratulations to the Preps on completing their first full term of school! It has been a wonderful learning journey over the past 10 weeks, and they’ve learned so many amazing new things.

In Literacy, we are continuing to focus on learning all of the sounds. So far, we’ve covered 'm', 's', 't', 'a', 'p', 'i', and 'f'. We’re even starting to read and write words using these sounds! Our classes have also written their very own books—one called Our School Community and the other based on the book Smarty Pants. The students have been so creative and proud of their work.

In Maths, we’ve explored patterns, the days of the week, counting, and positional language. Last week, we had fun making monkeys and taking them outside to describe their positions using positional language.

In Inquiry, we had a fantastic time at our cultural dance incursion. We learned the moves to lots of different cultural dances and even got to dress in costumes!

Our Grade 5 buddies have been a great help to us during our first term of school, and we would like to thank them for their kindness and support.

We look forward to more exciting learning in Term 2!
