Week 10 Japanese News

Foundation students are continuing to learn Japanese numbers up to 10. Meanwhile, Grade One and Two students are practicing numbers up to 百 (100). They selected a number and created a poster showcasing the number fact. Grade Three and Four students have been expanding their knowledge of hiragana, working on recognising characters in words. For Grade Five and Six students, the focus has been on creating educational resources to help with learning classroom instructions in Japanese. These resources include posters, slideshows, videos, and Kahoot games. The students have had the opportunity to present their creations to their peers. 

All students had the opportunity to learn about こどもの日 Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day), celebrated on May 5th in Japan. They explored the significance of this national celebration, discovering why it is celebrated and how people observe the day. Students also participated in various activities related to the festival.
