Year 1/2 Learning Community News

With Harmony day and end of term celebrations happening, we have been BUSY!!
For Harmony Day we made Kimbap from South Korea, ate Ethiopian bread and Oni Giri (rice balls) from Japan. We played Loteria from Mexico, made Malaysian kites and we drew the Taj Mahal from India. The day was so fun and we loved all the dances at the end of the day at the assembly.
With our inquiry unit coming to a close we have been presenting our social stories to the class. They look absolutely amazing and make sure to check your child’s bag for their social story, you will all be so proud!! When our students were presenting we were looking for whole body listeners, who gave positive feedback and asked questions after their classmates' presentations. It was so nice to see!
We also worked on some fun card and dice games in maths this week, if you would like to play one of the games with your child at home I have included the link below.

We hope you all enjoy your holidays with your child and we look forward to term 2. Stay safe.
Kind Regards
The 1/2 Team
