Principal's Message

A Term of Growth and Resilience

As our first term concludes, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the incredible Joey’s Community. It has been a significant period, marked not only by my warm welcome but also by the resilience shown during the recent flood event. Your understanding and support has allowed us to maintain a focus on learning growth, even amidst the water, power outages, and mosquitos (they really are the largest I’ve ever seen!).

Despite the disruptions, our young people and skilled helpful adults have demonstrated their deep commitment to learning. Across this term, we have witnessed authentic investment in our culture of learning growth. Be it on the Handball court, learning a new instrument, grappling with a Maths problem or even asserting an opinion whilst developing their persuasive writing skills - our learners, from Kinders through to our school leaders, all have risen to the challenge to step beyond their comfort zones to grow!

This term we have also welcomed three new families to our school. Our young people have warmly welcomed each of their new classmates, and yes, they have been teaching them the fine art of Foursquare - It is a joy to see our learning community grow.

With all that we have achieved this term, I can’t wait to see what Term 2 holds!

Next week, as we prepare for Easter Sunday, let our hearts be filled with the hopeful message of renewal and new life. May you use this time to connect with friends and family with joy and to recharge, ready for the new term.

Wishing you all a blessed Easter.
