Old Orchard’s First Art Show for Grades 3-6!!!

During Education Week (12/5-16/5) in Term 2 we will be having our first ever OOPS Art Show exhibiting the artwork created by the Grade 3-6 students. The Art Show will be held in the Grade 6 end of C Wing and will be open during our open evening on Wednesday 14/5 from 6pm.

As well as the artwork created at school, we would love to show off the artwork of our many talented and creative students that they have made at home. This artwork could be drawing, painting, knitting, sewing, ceramics etc. All artwork that you would like to include in the show will need to be submitted to Heidi in the Art room by Monday 5/5/25 (Week 3 Term 2). Please make sure everything is clearly named so we can return it to you at the end of the show.

The upcoming school holidays would be the perfect time to get creative! Any questions please see Heidi in the Art room.

Also, we are looking for donations of newspapers, old large plain sheets and or large pieces of fabric in plain colours to use for displays during the Art Show.

Old Orchard Skill Registry

We are looking to build an Old Orchard registry/data base of the work skills of parents who may be prepared to volunteer their skills or advice from time to time.  Areas of expertise might include:

  • Performing Arts
  • Trades
  • Technology
  • Education sector
  • Health care
  • Grant writing
  • Business/Marketing
  • Language/interpreting etc

Some examples of how you might be able to assist …….

If we were looking to undertake a building project at school, we could have someone with expertise in that area look over any quotes we receive.

or

If we were looking to undertake a new school program, we would be interested to hear from teachers using the program at their own schools.

If you would be happy to include your details on this register, please complete the Google form below.
