It is hard to believe we are already three weeks into Term 3! The term has begun with plenty of energy, excitement and opportunities for students from Prep to Year 12.
Before the mid-year break, students in Years 5–8 enjoyed our second annual Future You Day. The event continues to grow each year, and it was wonderful to see students so engaged as they explored new ideas and possibilities for their futures.
Term 3 began with a pupil-free day, giving staff valuable time to work together and focus on improving student outcomes. We then launched into a busy first week with PJ Day, raising $620 for The Pyjama Foundation, which supports children in foster care.

That evening, our Year 12 students continued the theme with a Stay Late event featuring board games, lollies, pizza, popcorn and a movie—a fun opportunity to relax, connect and enjoy some classic sleepover nostalgia.

In Week 2, our Year 5 and 6 students travelled to Canberra for camp. This is always a highlight of the primary years, and this year was no exception. A huge thank you to the staff who worked tirelessly to make this memorable experience possible.

This week, students from Prep to Year 12 have taken part in our Athletics Day. It is always exciting to see students shine in their events, but just as rewarding to watch them encourage their peers, celebrate success and have the confidence to give something a go.

We have also begun confirming subjects for students who will be in Years 9–12 in 2027. Families who have not yet booked a course confirmation session are encouraged to contact the college.
There is still plenty to come this term. Week 4 includes the Maths Competition, Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences, a Year 10 Skills and Jobs event and our Prep students’ exciting 100 Days of School celebration.
In Week 5, families can attend our Parent Wellbeing session, Managing Big Feelings. The College community will also celebrate the opening of our Cultural Hub with a Smoking Ceremony performed by Uncle Rick. That evening, our Year 7 and 8 students will enjoy the Year 7/8 Dance.
Week 6 will round out the first half of the term with a special Year 1 Afternoon Tea event.
This term, we are also renewing our focus on high expectations through the relaunch of our Ky Way philosophy. The Ky Way aligns with our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support approach and promotes clear, consistent expectations across the College.
We encourage families to speak with their children about the Ky Way and what it looks like in everyday school life. Your support plays a kerole in helping every student feel supported, meet expectations and continue to grow.

We look forward to the many opportunities and celebrations still to come and thank our families for continuing to support our students and College community.
