Creative and Performing Arts

Every second year our Armidale Catholic Schools creative arts grant provides our students with an amazing experience free of charge to our families.

As a component of our syllabus, students are provided an appreciation of dance, music and drama which can be significantly enhanced by the opportunity to view a live performance such as the ones we have chosen this year.

This support is a wonderful financial commitment from ACS. They will pay for all tickets and the cost of the buses. Our thanks go to the team at ACS for their yearly support of our school.

Please pop into your Parent Compass App ASAP to Decline or Accept your child's musical invitation so we can plan tickets, and bus transport numbers.

Book Week - 22nd - 28th August

This year the theme for Book Week is 'Symphony of Stories'.

Miss Ainsworth is preparing our library beautifully for this special week and Mrs Murphy has shared with our staff great resources to make this week a very special one. Reading is always a priority at our school and we are grateful to our parents for hearing your child read each night - Monday to Thursday and beyond!

We will have a Book Week Parade on Friday 28th August. Children will share their costumes in the hall to commence our morning at 9.00am and families are very welcome to join us, entering the hall through Douglas Street gates as you usually would for our assemblies please.

As always we ask families not to spend big money on this!

I googled images of ideas and literally any story that interest your child is a possibility - you can dress up as that character!

Uniforms

Please support us by ensuring your child is in full school uniform. For boys this includes a school tie. If you require a tie or any items of clothing please use your compass app to order these.
