Reef Pod

Reef learnt all about informative writing over the past term in English. We looked at the importance of subheadings in organising our writing so that it was easy for readers to spot key information. We also experimented with trying to incorporate engaging imagery with factual information. It has been a fun journey learning to improve our informative writing skills!

This term in maths, we have started learning about additive relations. Finding different strategies to solve addition and subtraction number problems is important for us when tackling numbers up to 1000. We are also starting to use Polya’s problem solving strategies to figure out trickier word problems.
