Prep

It has been a fantastic start to the year in Prep W. We have all settled into the routine of school life with ease and are making lots of new friends. 

We have discussed and set up our class expectations and learnt about the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. 

In Literacy we have begun to the letters of the alphabet, the letter names, sounds and the correct way to write them. This year we are using Jolly Classroom as well as Pevan and Sarah videos and songs to help us.

On Mondays we talk about our weekend, then draw a picture of what we did and then either trace over a sentence scribed by the teacher or have a go at writing underneath the teacher's writing.

We have also been learning about 2D shapes – their names and features.
