Year 5

In 5G we have been working hard on creating a positive classroom culture by having a riddle for the students to explore on our daily slideshow. I’ve been very impressed with the answers some students have given- what critical thinkers we are!

In continuing to promote a positive culture, last week we all played a class game where we tried to match the students to their pets. It was a raging success with all students getting involved with guessing each other’s pets!

We started working on narratives last week - it has been amazing to see how 5G have worked hard at making sure their introductions are exciting and are able to hook the reader in. The students have up levelled their narratives using VCOP and are learning to include interesting vocabulary. The students have loved writing on their one-to-one iPads, practising their typing skills ready for NAPLAN in the coming weeks. See below some of the amazing writing from 5G.
