Year 1

1S has had a great start to the year! We spent our first week getting to know each other and making new friends. We played fun games to learn about teamwork and build connections. It's been awesome to see how our choices affect each other, and we're excited for more adventures ahead!

During our reading time, we've been busy exploring lots of cool books like "How to Make a Friend in 6 Easy Steps," "Mrs. Kraken," "The Good Egg," and many more awesome picture books. These stories help us learn about important values at school. 

In our writing sessions, we've been practising different ways to start and finish our sentences neatly, to make sure our handwriting looks great when we present our work. 

We've been diving into the days of the week and discovering missing numbers before and after on a 100's chart in our math sessions. Plus, we've been playing various games to help us practice these concepts!

This week, we participated in a first aid incursion. This program provided the students with invaluable knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergencies, ensuring their safety and the well-being of others.

We're excitedly awaiting the adventures that 2024 will bring in 1S, anticipating a year filled with learning and improving.
