Year 3 & 4

Around our level

Over the past few weeks, the year three and four students have been preparing for NAPLAN.

For our Year 3 students, the focus has been on revising and honing the skills necessary to complete the NAPLAN assessments. These assessments serve as valuable insight into their learning progress. Through practice and revision, our Year 3 students have been sharpening their knowledge and skills and built upon their confidence as they approach these assessments.

Although our Year 4 students won't be participating in NAPLAN this year, they've been hard at work revisiting their literacy and numeracy skills. While NAPLAN may not be on the horizon for them just yet,  they have been shown the importance of continued practice and reinforcement of the skills they've acquired in their learning thus far.

Also this week in our ongoing efforts within the Frog Bog and Vegetable Patch area, our students have truly excelled. Their dedication to clearing weeds, preparing vegetable beds, and enhancing the overall environment has been nothing short of outstanding. Through collaborative teamwork, they've not only accomplished tangible goals but also cultivated essential skills in cooperation and communication. It's lovely to witness their use of positive language and encouragement towards one another, fostering a supportive and uplifting atmosphere.

Crazy Hair Day at school was once again a whirlwind of vibrant colors and imaginative styles. Students unleashed their creativity this week on Monday, all for a noble cause. With each hair-raising creation, our students raised funds for the Leukemia Foundation by bringing a gold coin donation.

Maddie H

I found it hard not to talk.

Mackenzie G

I felt like I was getting my answers correct.

Flynn M.

I was really nervous that I was going to finish too early and that I would get my answers wrong.

Trinity G

Some of the questions were easy. When I read the sentences I had to read them a couple time to understand them.

Maci

I found NAPLAN kinda hard but kinda easy. It depended on the question.

Josephine F

Some of the NAPLAN questions were hard so I flagged them. At the end I went back and checked them. I am not sure if I got them right or wrong.

Patch E

I think NAPLAN was fun and I think I did pretty good.

Poppy C

I think NAPLAN makes you try really hard to show your abilities and in some parts it can be challenging for people.

Eva H

I think I focused really well and I think it is fun and easier when you try your best and focus well.
