Engaging in our Faith

RECONCILIATION

Having received Baptism and Confirmation, the students listed below continued their sacramental journey this week by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. This sacrament can be summed up in one word: LOVE.

God, our heavenly Father, loves us all and He wants us to live as a child of God in the family of the church. Through our sacraments, we are empowered with the power to love and to make a real difference in the world.

HOLY WEEK REFLECTIONS

You are invited to reflect on the events of Holy Week with your children on Holy Thursday morning. More details will follow shortly. We hope to welcome you on Thursday, 28 March to help build the Kingdom of God at Holy Family.

Kind regards

Liana Stella - REC

SPA(R) and Coffee Connect Next Thursday 18th March for Parents.

SPAR is an acronym for Stop Pray And Reflect. If you liked the labyrinth experience or if you couldn't make the labyrinth why not try coming into the prayer room next Thursday for 15 minutes from 8.45 am to 9 am? We will then have coffee with anyone who is free.

We will slow down, listen to music, hear some scripture and reflect on questions provided to you. It is an app offered by the Irish Jesuits. All faiths welcome. Maybe this is one thing you could take on as your prayer offering in Lent. Then if you like it you could do a similar thing with your children at night perhaps just once in the week?

Thank you to all the Stage 3 families who came to the Parish Mass on Sunday and those who also walked the labyrinth afterwards.

Remember these are Parish Masses not school Masses so the focus is on our wider Parish community. We are part of that extended community and it is a blessing that we belong to a Parish that welcomes all in the community. We defer to the way the Masses are run on the weekends which may well differ to the way we run our school Masses.

"We are God's work of art, created in Christ Jesus to live the good life as from the beginning he had meant us to live it." Ephesians 2:4-10

What do you think living a good life might mean?  Could be a good conversation starter at home one night at the dinner table!
