This week at Holy Family we have been focusing on Caring for Others.

There are so many ways you can do this .......

You might catch someone so they don't fall.

You might teach someone something they need help with.

Give them words of encouragement.

Or simply have a hug!

Take some time this week to stop and care for someone else and make a 

difference to their day.

Year 6 in ....

Who is your biggest inspiration?

I am inspired by Michael Jordan because his basketball teacher told him he couldn’t do anything because he was skinny and bad at basketball, but then he turned out to be the greatest basketball player of all time, because he didn’t listen to those who told him he couldn’t do it.

Do you have any pets, if so what are they and what do you like about them?

I have a whippet-dog named Pedro. He’s a very nice companion. He’s always there for me, even if he can't talk. My other pet is my cockatiel, Lemon. She’s very sweet. She’s a new addition to my family. I love them both so much!

What hobbies do you have?

My hobbies are astronomy and aviation (planes, or anything that flies). I like these, because since I was very young, I’ve always enjoyed watching places fly up in the sky, over my house and I enjoyed reading about them. My parents take me plane spotting at Sydney Airport which is very cool, because they fly over your head. Astronomy is fascinating, because I like knowing about space and it’s always been very cool to learn about how different it is!

What are you most looking forward to in Year 6 this year?

I’m really excited for the Sports Carnival, because as one of the Riley Leaders, I can’t wait to lead our team to victory! I’m excited to Graduate, not because I want to leave Holy Family, but because I’m excited for the opportunities the new environment of high school will bring!

What hobbies do you have?

I really, really, really enjoy dancing, especially ballet, because it makes me feel happy and free, like all of my worries have disappeared! I like writing, I don’t know why, but it makes me feel like my creativity is endless! One of my favourite hobbies, is also singing! 

I enjoy pop music and grooving to the beat!

Who is your biggest inspiration?

Probably my grandmother. She loves to bake and teaches me lots of skills. She also teaches me to be patient and have fun with everything I do! I get lots of time with her because she always makes sure our time together is a priority.

What is your favourite outfit choice, and why?

Shorts and t-shirts. They’re very comfortable and there are different types of varieties and colours that I truly love! My fancy outfit option is a nice dress that is comfortable to wear and super stylish!

Why do you love Holy Family?

I love Holy Family because of all my wonderful friends and teachers and the incredible leadership opportunities. I get to thrive, because of what I learn. My favourite subjects are creative writing and science! I’m sad about leaving, but excited for a new start in high school!
