Environmental Challenge for the Year!
This term, we are pleased to announce that we will start our whole school Environmental Challenge of collecting plastic bread tags for Bread Tags for Wheel Chairs to assist disadvantaged people in South Africa. The bread tags need to be plastic.
Bread Tags For WheelChairs has been recycling bread tags since 2006. They are currently collecting 500 kg of bread tags per month, which funds 2 to 3 wheelchairs to assist disadvantaged people in South Africa.
Our School Environmental Team will once again support Bread Tags for Wheel Chairs and we will set a new school target.
Over the school holidays the Robe family, Jasmine (5 Blue) and Jillian (6 Red) kindly donated boxes of bread tags on behalf of the St Simon’s school community.
Please feel free to hand in your plastic bread tags throughout the year. Students can place their bread tags in their classroom office tub in an envelope.
Please help us collect bread tags this year!
