AREA NEWS! 

We held a successful Beginner Band Incursion on Tuesday March 12th. Students participated in full band rehearsals and sectional rehearsals throughout the day, which ran from Period 4 until 5:30pm.  

We worked on pieces that were focused on consolidating student’s ability to play the first 5 notes in Concert Band. At 5pm we held a short concert for family and friends, where we performed a number of the pieces we had been practicing. 

Many students also performed solos or duets on their instruments which was fantastic to see! We have been most impressed with how students are progressing, and the positive attitude they are displaying in rehearsals and performances. We were fortunate to have a number of older music students assisting with rehearsals. 

Thankyou to Alex Nash, Lilly McMullen, Kaylee Hamilton, Mason Bowker and Milan Stevanovic for your assistance on the day! Also a big thankyou to Harper and Mr. Gill for their expertise.  

A reminder that the first payment for Instrumental Lessons was due on March 20th. There is the option of paying in a lump sum or four instalments. Please action this event on Compass ASAP if you are yet to do so. Instrumental Hire fees can also be paid through Compass.
