Education in Faith

Education in Faith encompasses the following areas: Religious Education, Prayer, Liturgy and Sacraments.

Holy Week is the most important week in the Church's year. It is a time when we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. We remember his actions, reflect on his messages and recommit to living as his disciples in the world today.

As people of faith, we begin to prepare ourselves for Holy Week.

Holy Week is the most important week in the Church calendar year. It is a time when we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. We remember his actions, reflect on his messages and recommit to living as his disciples in the world today.

During this time, we gather to reflect and acknowledge Jesus' love for us, with a focus on how he spent his final days on earth.  As we begin celebrating the events of Holy Week, we ask that you take the time and opportunity to spend time with your family recalling Jesus’ love for us.

Events of Holy Week

As a Catholic school community, our children have been engaged in unpacking scripture stories about the events of Holy Week. Throughout Holy Week, our children will have the opportunity to engage in re-enacting the events of Holy Week.  These liturgies will be celebrated at the following times and dates at St Fidelis church.

  • Monday 25th March Foundation celebrating Palm Sunday at 3.00pm
  • Tuesday 26th March Year 1/2 celebrating Holy Thursday at 3.00 pm
  • Wednesday 27th March Year 3/4 celebrating Good Friday at 2.45 pm
  • Wednesday 27th March Year 5/6 celebrating Easter Sunday at 3.00pm

We invite parents, grandparents and careers to attend these special celebrations.

Reconciliation Celebration

Last Thursday evening, our Year 3 children celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Throughout the term, the children have been preparing for his event and we congratulate all the children who celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Special thanks to the Year 3/4teachers, Father Tran and Father Trac.

Caritas Australia

As project compassion 2024 comes to an end, we want to thank our school community for your generosity and support throughout Lent.  This year, we shared with you the story of three inspiring women from across the globe, who overcame challenges to complete their education, access water and find secure employment.  With the support and compassion from people like you, they are now forging a path to a better future for their families and their communities. There is still time to donate.  Together, we can help vulnerable communities face their challenges today and build a better tomorrow, for future generations.

Coloured clothes day

This Thursday the 28th of March, our social justice leaders Xena and Thomas have organised the final fundraiser for project compassion.  On this day, the children are invited to wear coloured cloths and make a gold coin donation. We ask that all project compassion donation boxes, be returned to school by the end of the week or early next term.

Celebrating class mass:
