Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

Amazingly we have a little under three weeks of school left only! Where has that gone? Teachers are finalising reports as I type this and we still have two camps and an excursion or two to go as well so we still have lots of work to do.

This week all children will have the opportunity to visit “Make A Scene At Christmas” at the Uniting Church Hall. Christmas Cribs from all over the world have been collected by the industrious volunteers who love sharing this message of love and peace with children and families all around Victoria.

Tomorrow I am heading off on camp with our Grade 6 students and their teachers to Hall Gap. This is an excellent camp and one, I know, the children will really enjoy.

GRADUATION Our Grade 6 class is preparing to Graduate from primary school and continue their educational journeys in secondary school in 2024.

Parents and carers should please note that the Graduation Ceremony will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 14th at the Jubilee Centre at Trinity College.

Our Transition Day'' for all students is on Tuesday, December 12th. Year 6 students will be spending the day at their chosen secondary school, next year’s Foundation class will be with us from 11:30am until 1:00pm and all other students will spend this same hour and a half with their 2024 class and teacher.

Please note classes for 2024 will be announced on this day and are final. Putting classes together is incredibly complex and we always do our best to balance any and all competing needs, including the children’s own requests for which friends they might like to be in their class. If parents have any concerns that they need to let us know about, now is the time.

BEGINNING 2024 Some early notice, 2024 will begin for our teachers on Monday January 29th with training and preparation, however classes will not resume for the children until Wednesday, January 31st. Our staff will be working with the highly regarded Mathematics educator Michael Ymer on Tuesday January 30th. This is a fantastic opportunity for our staff and we are fortunate to have booked this much sought after presenter.

Please note Wednesday the 31st will be the first day for our new Foundation students as well. Foundation students will attend school until 1:00pm for this first week and a half.
